Vince Vaugh's O'Hare seemed to be created as the "anti-Rudy." In other words, an exceptionally talented player without heart. Actually, the way the movie portrayed the last score, the Georgia Tech coach could have complained that Notre Dame was running up the score.

He actually did get a sack on the last play on the last game of the season. 1:40 on the video.
Joe Montana, who was quarterback for Notre Dame back then, confirmed Rudy did make the sack, but he said all parting seniors get at least one play before the season was over. It's still impressive though.

@imanicekid1 They did score a late TD that put the defense back on the field and enabled Rudy to get in the game, but they didn't score for the specific purpose of getting Rudy a chance to play.
