In the confines of a London dinner party, comedian Tim Minchin argues with a hippy named Storm. While Storm herself may not be converted, audiences from London to LA have been won over by Tim's wordplay and the timely message of the film in a society where science and reason are portrayed as the enemy of belief.
Written and performed by Tim Minchin @timminchin. Directed by DC Turner @dcturner. Produced by Tracy King @tkingdoll. www.stormmovie.net

Yes he does sound Australian be Because he grew up in Australia. Went to school in Australia. Studied at university in Australia. Got famous in Australia. Moved to England.

It's Tim's voice, the difference you can hear is the difference between a live auditorium full of people (where the audio-only version was recorded) and the very intimate setting of a small recording studio. Tim actually did many different takes for the animation, as he performs it slightly differently every time. This version is even slightly different to the original lyrics on paper. Hope that clarifies! TK

Try looking up the definition of strawman, moron.
stonetemplepilot420 - 17.5.2012 3:03:41
I think you need to learn what these words mean before you use them.
JimmyPageIsALegend - 17.5.2012 2:25:15
How is this a straw man in any way?

I'm huge a fan of Tim Minchin. I agree with him on this one whole-heartedly yet am still open to the idea that God exists

Absoloutly brilliant. A lovely illustration for the weak of mind :)

[sarcasm]
err... this is actually a conspiracy published by the world's pharmaceutical industries to encourage you idiotic 'sheeple' to go out and get addicted to the drugs that help 'them' control your minds.

Well I'll be dammed! :) Thanks then!
MeOnStuff - 15.5.2012 23:06:23
It's a different recording to that video, but it is his voice. See 9:39 "Written and performed by Tim Minchin".
bradwood20 - 15.5.2012 23:02:04
"yea but not everything can be explained by science."
erm yea, it can.
MrJaebbe - 15.5.2012 23:02:02
Are you sure about that? It's doesn't really seem like it. If you listen to /watch?v=V0W7Jbc_Vhw you will notice it's not near his voice. Well, screw it.. It's still an awesome beat-poem :)
TheRedNoise - 15.5.2012 22:29:35
I just absolutely love this.
Olidude13 - 15.5.2012 22:22:08
I'm interested to know in what way is it "STRAW MAN".
MeOnStuff - 15.5.2012 18:46:47
It is Tim's voice.
MrJaebbe - 15.5.2012 17:44:01
Great great animation, but a shame it's not Tim's voice and his telling. I'm sorry to say, but some parts are just lost in the edition. But still - great vid :)
matifachal - 15.5.2012 4:45:13
Great animation for a great piece of comedy! :D
DoctorXeno - 14.5.2012 18:15:40
As a piece of entertainment, it's great. As a piece of arguement, all I can say is STRAW MAN.
Weetjegeweten - 14.5.2012 15:31:05
Well, did you think of Storm? She's a single soul, isn't she?
Weetjegeweten - 14.5.2012 15:29:51
You are ashamed of your species (not for rape, war, murder, but) for spelling errors? Sounds ridiculously trivial to me.
BTW Funny how you avoid answering the question about how many languages you speak ;) LOL
If you can't debate with reasoning and argumentation, you have to find SOME way of 'winning' eh? Intellectual superiority by pointing out spelling-errors is always a great last resort for the english-speaking people when they debate people who don't have english as their first language!

But hey, I understand, if you can't debate with reasoning and argumentation, you have to find SOME way of 'winning' eh? So, intellectual superiority by pointing out spelling-errors is always a great last resort for the english-speaking people when they debate people who don't have english as their first language.
Weetjegeweten - 14.5.2012 15:21:56
I understand, but thanks for explaining.
I'm still fascinated by how he's avoiding the issue of how many languages he speaks/writes. It always amuses me when english/american/canadian/australian internet-users (who are usually unable to speak/write ANY other language) mock people who don't have english as their mother-tongue for their spelling-errors in english. And then try to use those spelling errors (of people speaking a foreign language) to try to achieve intellectual superiority.
Weetjegeweten - 14.5.2012 15:14:47
:) Nice one, I've seen the entire lecture that this was a part of before. Definitely a well-spent hour or 2. :)
HansTheAtheist - 14.5.2012 6:40:20
Just watched it for the hundredth time over the course of a year. Awesome video, I keep coming back to it.
