Dave Malouin, an editor for Discovery Communications, selected Dr. Andrea Pennington as a modern day hero. Here is the documentary film made about Dr. Andrea and the communities she serves.

Dr. Pennington gives of her time, energy, knowledge and compassion to help young people and adults learn to love themselves, respect themselves, take good care of themselves and most importantly, she helps motivate them to reach for their dreams.

This is a poignant behind-the-scenes look at a doctor who anchored health news for Discovery Health Channel, published two books, hosts and produces TV shows and videos, has appeared on Oprah, CNN and more and still gives of her time to free clinics and neighborhood youth mentoring programs.
