I'm not crazy thank you. I don't remember the film by that scene that's ridiculous. I'm held by the central story of the film and so are most people. Every film includes some nasty sex scenes for commercial reasons. Guys of course wouldn't care about the rest of the film, they watched it only for that sex scene. What a spectacular reason to appreciate the film right? Anyway...

In the end, did she die? Or was that another hallucination? And in the end while she is bleeding, she says "I felt it. Perfect. It was perfect." Is that suppose to mean that perfection kills? I like the movie, but at the same time I'm confused because there are so many aspects about it that I don't understand.

The pressure of having the lead role got to her and she basically went crazy with stress, the pure and lovely white swan part of her personality battling against the evil and sensual black swan part of her personality. The movie's shot in a way that blurs the line between reality and her own delusions, so the watcher can't really be sure what's real and what isn't by the end. Unfortunately the lesbian scene was a dream :(

Could someone please explain this movie to me. I've seen it twice and I still can't fully understand it. I understand that she is pushing herself to perfection and as a result she experiences hallucinations about becoming a swan, but could someone explain the rest. Please and thank you.

I am reading all of these comments about the lesbian bit in this movie (which, for those in the dark, was a hallucination). I don't think sexuality in Aronofsky's movies are meant to be erotic. I point everyone to one sequence in Requiem For A Dream. The ass-to-ass scene in that was meant to shock, not titillate. In this movie, it is meant to exhibit the character's descent into madness, also not to titillate. Think about it.

It is not seeing or not so perverse that scene but be smart in the eyes of teenagers who go to see a movie. Until recently these scenes were omitted even in films like Basic Instinct more erotic. I think it was a scene unnecessary to follow the fashion scenes of lesbianism. The performances of the actors is too good to put this nonsense

Sorry but put it this way; Not all guys have a perverted mind to care that that much about that scene. Most of them have but not all of them. Besides there are other "movies" especially made for those who want to watch making out and nothing else.
